Hey guys,
By coincidence I found this nice guy who offers us to make us a web-site. Below is the conversation so far, feel free to give input:
Hi Sam,
The house is supposed to be open to CS'ers and
travelers of all kind and we are hoping to be able to
learn a lot from people passing through and perhaps
even take pictures and document what we create
together, so we had something like this in mind:
- some sort of blog on the front page (like on the
casa Robino site).
Yes i v seen the pictures ... they are pretty people...
- Then a Navigation tool with
- people (or Agents)
- Creativity (pictures and more)
- Introduction (Welcome and what you need to know)
- perhaps also some form of internal E-mail account
system?
What would be the Tool and script/code you would use?
CMS joomla
How much would we be able to do?
Anything almost
Do you need the content before you create it?
yes
but it s better if you upload the content yourself
since i don t have time and good internet speed for
this.
here it s 20 kb/s and this is fast internet.
Do you need a logo or a draft on the design before you
can start?
yes if you can draw a logo first i can make it in
illustrator and then post the result on my server.
what else should we beaweare of and take in
consideration?
If people participate to buy an unlimited plan for
webhosting we could host those free minded kind of
project more freely.
plans are 80 usd a month.
yahoo hosting or hostgator.
I just want access to it so i can host one of my
website for free.
Thank YOU
Love
Chris
No problem
Cheers
Sam

So who wants In!
There does seem to be some interest in this House idea. What i think we need to do is find out who is "interested" and who is ready to make the move. I have found, and emailed back and forth with many housing options. My only problem is picking a house with the right amount of rooms. Right now i am looking into a houses about 15 to 20 min to the city center I felt like that would be a good idea ( and it drops the price ). If anyone has any input do not hesitate to comment.

Picking a neibourhood?
I spent some time today looking over our housing options. Then it dawned on me, Dublin is a large city. With with each neighbourhood offering something different. I think we as a group should decide where we want this house to be. As soon as that happens i will make it my goal to to find the right place.
lets get the ball rolling

The Financial saviour
Hello and Happy December,
This post will try to address the need of financial stability. Since the financial means can crush and destroy a community house, it is logical to get it sorted out and made clear.
Thus our thought is on using spread sheets (all ready customized by good online samaritans) to minimize and limit our time consumption on this issue as it is not worth spending more then 1 hour a week on.
https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AoK3O1Nfjq_ndHNDQUxfcUtZNm9vdkpaakxneEhialE&hl=en
follow the link above and learn more. Also we intend to create some physical that can be put on the wall, so everyone can see how the house is sustained. We need you help on suggestions of media and formulation of such a tool? Also any comments on the online spreadsheet would be much appreciated?
Love, Peace and Christmas spirit

Info on Realization
Hello Guys,
It looks like we are getting closer to the house in Dublin. We have started to collect links for possible houses and possible setups of houses. We assume that we do not need to explain the general set-up of a shared house as people would at some point either have lived together with their family or shared a flat with room-mates. Thus we already know it sometimes is difficult and hard, when each others Privat-spectrum is very far from each other.
We generally want to create awareness about alternative possibilities for a shared house. such as:
http://casarobino.org/
- House in Amsterdam that is open for travellers and shares everything in the house. Considered to be environmental oriented (Dumpster-diving, Organic food, Sustainability)
berlin.projectvolunteering.net
- House project in Berlin also open for travellers. Where very much into documenting every step, sharring, living, learning and teaching. (Sustainability, Experience, Learn from travellers)
http://mawahata.blogspot.com/
- House in Holland, was inspired by PV in Berlin, but is developing on its own (Sustainability, Experience, Learn from travellers)
http://nomadbase.org/
- Site for People interested in nomad base. Was created at a Berlin gathering (SHE goes MAD) and is going to develop further through passionated people and follow-up meetings (next one in New York). Direction is still somewhat unclear.
Dublin Housing sites:
www.camelotproperty.com

The first Chapter of the Journey
Since the last year was filled with inspiring houses and people living in these houses and visiting them. Along with my course I have settled down on the idea of giving a house in Dublin an attempt.
That said I have no Idea about what it will be. It is not my intentions to create a copy-paste of PV, Mawa hata, Casa Robino or Uusmaailm.
The House in Dublin is going to be made of the people who is going to live their. They will decide whether it is going to be a community, Collective, WG or a shared CS-house. In order to ease a few things I hope to be able to act as a facilitator until the foundation (house, people and financial tools) is settled. After that I hope I will be able to loosen up my responsibility and see the house develop in to Omni-colours and beauty.
